Sondra has been an active writer and poet in both Western Massachusetts and Chicago. She studied creative writing as an undergrad at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and has an affinity for the New York School (art, Ashbury, O'Hara). You can sometimes find her at the Uptown Poetry Slam at the Green Mill or the Polyrhythmic Arts Collective open mic at Trace. She has helped set two performance poetry pieces to the stage: Savage/Love at the Artistic Home Theatre, and 20 Poems and a Song at the Bailiwick Repertory Theatre.
When not pining over graduate schools, she spends her time bicycling around the city and raising funds for Chicago not-for-profits. She is a firm believer in the finer things in life: good company, good chocolate and lazy days.
