Colorado scoffs at out-of-staters who move there. Well, Kent Green scoffs at Colorado; he moved to the Centennial State from the Northwest Suburbs to study journalism at CU-Boulder. But he came back to live in Chicago. He doesn't need mountains with the dynamic cluster of life that is this city. He studies improvisation, volunteers as a tutor and loves to rock out at concerts.
He works full-time at an editing service and part-time selling high-end outdoor apparel, and he's aware of the irony of having that latter gig in Illinois, thank you very much. He spent his early professional life as a newspaper reporter, so exploring Chicago's unique spots and writing about them is a perfect fit for him.
Aside from all that, Kent's a serious snowboarder, so if you could just direct him to the nearest ski resort, that'd be...what?...Oh.
Rats. You win that one, Colorado.
