| Directorial credits include Possession (2001), Nurse Betty (2000), Your Friends and Neighbors (1998), and In the Company of Men (1997). Labrute was born in Michigan but grew up in Spokane, Washington. He later moved to the northwestern suburb of Barrington. He currently divides his time between LA and Chicago.
His last movie was a remake of the British horror movie, The Wicker Man (2006) staring Nicholas Cage.
