| Director/playwright has long been involved in Chicago theatre. Before attending The Theatre School, she was Artistic Director of Footsteps Theatre Company, where she directed The Wake of Jamey Foster, Witness to Her Voice, A Chocolate Sandwidth, and a bunch of Shakespeare (Twelfth Night, Othello, The Taming of the Shrew, Macbeth, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Romeo and Juliet. Her writing credits include Deeper Shade of Blue and The Fall of a Sparrow. She also has worked as an actress in a number of plays. She received a Bachelors Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she won the Phi Beta Kappa award for excellence in her senior year. She is the recipient of The Theatre School's Michael Maggio Memorial Scholarship. Currently, she serves as artistic director of New World Repertory Theater, a not-for-profit professional theater in Downers Grove that opened in January 2003.
