| This new film organization cropped up recently with the promotion of its kick-off expo, "Circus '98" on March 1998. Though the films screened and scripts read were virtually ignored by the chattering, inebriated participants - the event still drew over 500 spectators which is a mammoth success in itself. Fronted by Liz Owen of GirlieGirl Productions and Nicole Bernardi-Reis of PerformInk, this company seems to have the right idea with its approach to uniting Chicago's disjointed film community. Check out their quarterly "$6films for $6bucks" which showcases the latest local film shorts.
