Large auditorium on Northwestern's Evanston campus is host to a number of large-scale university productions, as well as the theater production company Light Opera Works.

The stage was built in 1940 and has 1,011 seats. Steeped in history, the space has been the frequent home of the well-known "Waa-Mu Show," a student written musical review in which such well-known alumni as Warren Beatty and Heather Headley have performed. The acoustics in the space aren't stellar; most shows need microphones, and the occasional opera that does without them can be difficult to hear from the cheap seats.

Parking is available for free on evenings and weekends in most university sponsored lots; after four p.m. and all day on weekends, one can park at the parking deck near the lakefront at the east side of the curve where Sheridan Road hooks west to join with Chicago Avenue; just turn right into the campus at the curve, and the parking deck will almost immediately be visible on your right. It's a bit of a walk to the Auditorium from there, however.

Due to its location on the Northwestern campus and its nearness to downtown Evanston, a plethora of dining locations are right at your fingertips; many establishments can be found especially near the intersections of Sherman and Davis and Sherman and Church.
