Batsheva Dance, an Israeli company touring Chicago for the first time in decades, drips with cultural cachet. Co-founded in 1964 by Martha Graham and Baroness de Rothschild, this troupe performs contemporary dance pieces, mostly by artistic director Ohad Naharin. Critics call his work lusty, playful, and starkly entertaining. If you're into well-muscled, bed-headed Israelis, don't miss Batsheva's two-night-only stand. They might not be back for another 34 years.
