Recommended a "Must See" Show

New Leaf Theatre's last show got raves for, of all things, its sound design. This is one Chicago company that sees god in the details. Its latest production, a Chicago premiere from Canadian playwright Morris Panych, follows a freakily articulate ten-year-old who declares, like so many ten-year-olds, that nothing ever happens. In short order, a number of things do happen, from the death of the kid's goldfish to the Cuban missile crisis to the destruction of her family. Presented at the Lincoln Park Cultural Center, New Leaf's jewel box of a home base.
