This 90-minute interactive evening transports audiences back to the 1980s, when a walkman weighed more than a Yugo, knickers and leg warmers were cool, and everyone dialed 8675309 to see who would answer the phone. The Awesome 80s Prom invites the audience to "Dance the Night Away" and participate in all the events of this quintessential high school event. As the evening progresses, members of the graduating class, from the captain of the football team to the Asian exchange student, from the head cheerleader to the geek, all compete for the coveted title of Prom King and Queen. Each night is different, as the improv takes over and audience members vote at each performance (a la "American Idol") for their pick of Prom King and Queen. For reservations, call (312) 664-7766.
