There are two great traditions of Christmas Theatre. The first is the English panto, an ancient fairy-tale based form which must include improv, call and response, pop-culture references, songs and cross dressing. The other is the American tradition of putting on "A Christmas Carol" all the dang time. Piccolo, which has been brining original Panto shows to delighted Evanston families for years now, has combined those two traditions with "Bah! Humbug" a raucous new version of Scrooge's epiphany. Critics say it's messy, generous good time.
