The New Colony, a tight-knit, energetic ensemble that cooks all its plays in-house, blew the whistle on its fifth season with a New York transfer and a Chicago premiere. As their 2011 hit "Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche" finished a run at the SoHo playhouse, the Colonists opened a rough and tumble tale of small-town roller derby mayhem, featuring real wheels hitting a real track in a totally authentic church basement. Critics say it's a dynamic and exciting, if somewhat unfocused, trip. This show is in its closing weekend, so if you want to see it, you'd better hustle.
