Even though the vast majority of its productions are new work, Jackalope Theatre could be termed "Shepard-esque", focusing on shows that bring western flavor and rock intensity to the city of Fringe. Their latest midwest premiere, by Zayd Dorhn, is an Arizona borderlands story about two truckers and the two illegal immigrants they're smuggling. Critics in other cities say it is a tightly plotted, bloody thrill ride. That sounds like the kind of vehicle the Jackalopes can drive.
