If pun-filled musicals that combine iconic sitcoms with equally iconic narratives of bloody and violence can be considered a genre, then Gorilla Tango must be considered that genres foremost practitioner. "Attend the Tale of Danny Tanner," which brought Sweeney Todd-style obsessive revenge to TV San Francisco, was a surprisingly inevitable-seeming success earlier this year. "Miami Nice" continues the surprising-yet-inevitable tradition by putting the Golden Girls smack dab in the middle of the Scarfacesque drug trade. After all, if Miami is full of drugs and old people, why shouldn't a pop-culture parody musical bring them together?
