Should you find yourself with the worst case of the munchies that mankind has ever seen and drained funds after a whole lot of drinking, Underdogg is a worthy late-night/early-morning destination.
Attached to Flash Taco, you'll walk down the narrow stairs of Underdogg wondering what you've gotten yourself into. Once you see the menu, the answer to that question will be "a whole lot of deliciousness for not a whole lot of money!" The set-up to Underdogg is a spare three tables, though the menu is anything but. There are a gaggle of different types of hot dogs to be had, such as a chili-cheese dog or the bacon-char dog. The most popular item is the grill-to-perfection char-dog, not to be confused with the Underdogg, which is steamed. The owner's favorite, however, is the cheese polish.
Not a single item costs more than five dollars, and the breakfast sandwiches, contrary to their name, are served at all times of the day. Each of the sandwiches and dogs come with fries, though solo orders of fries will set you back a slim $1.50. The busiest time for Underdogg is Friday night from midnight to 3 a.m. If you find yourself waiting in line, check out the intense mural that is on the wall: A dog wearing sunglasses, a purple cape and a red muscle shirt bursting through a wall with a hot dog in one hand and a soda in the other. Nothing says hunger like a superhero dog. Or dogg.
