If it's late at night and you're craving Mexican food, Taco Fuego is a definite option, for they are open until 3 a.m. during the week and open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday. The Lakeview
restaurant, which offers counter service and also delivers, features eight tables and walls painted in yellow and burgundy.
Numerous items fill the menu, ranging from chips and salsa at $2.50 or a cheese quesadilla for $2.25 to a "monster" burrito dinner for $13.99, served with extra rice and beans. A dinner ($9.99) featuring chicken enchiladas with mole sauce, has a slightly spicy kick and tender chicken chunks, accompanied by a small serving of Spanish rice and refried beans.
Other dinners include chicken fajitas, shrimp fajitas, three flautas with choice of meat, and more. The joint also has appetizers such as shrimp ceviche ($9.99), Mexican-style chicken wings in a spicy, tangy chipotle sauce ($5.99), and veggie nachos ($5.99) with beans, avocado, pico de gallo and cheese. A mix of different burritos, quesadillas and tacos also round out the menu.
Want something sweet? Enjoy drinking an horchata and finish your meal off with churros, flan or fried ice cream, a ball of vanilla ice cream wrapped with sweetened corn flakes and deep fried.
