NOW CLOSED...Formerly: Don't mess with Sushi X, 'cause it will cut you good. Or at least that's what the restaurant's website would lead us to believe with its knife-clutching, briefcase-toting expressionless woman on the main page. If you've still got the guts to head over to this place, you'll soon find yourself in the company of other fearless sushi fans.
The restaurant offers a bevy of choices for the hardcore sushi lover and a decent selection for those who claim to be fans, but still can't stomach the whole raw fish thing. You can keep it simple with the smoked salmon and white tuna rolls or get a little crazy with the spicy octopus inside-out roll. Vegetarians will be pleased with the diverse selection of non-fishy rolls including asparagus, avocado, shitake and spinach.
Even the faithful friends of sushi freaks can find something satisfying at Sushi X. The menu has plenty of entrees like red chicken, broiled and marinated in chili sauce, Asian pot roast marinated in a sweet ginger garlic soy with wasabi garlic mashed potatoes and an assortment of vegetable tempura.
Average cost: $21-$30
