This high-ceilinged restaurant is filled with many lit candles and exposed brick walls, and the place is separated into a few sections in the front part of the restaurant and another back room, where diners can see the kitchen crew do their thing. Dishes range from beet salad to veggie lasagna and salmon, and portions are small.
A stuffed chicken dish ($19) came accompanied with a tasty lentil salad with carrots and red onion, dressed with greens and balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Other entrees include chocolate braised salmon filet, poached salmon filet, pork loin, lobster enchiladas and tortellini in poblano pepper sauce.
Salads and appetizers range from ceviche to apple foie gras to a beet salad with avocado, mango and papaya, ranging from $9 to $24. Sabor Saveur also offers a different soup, such as cream of corn soup or pumpkin soup, each day.
If an entree doesn’t fill you up, at least desserts, which cost $8-$9, can fill the void: pineapple rice pudding with caramelized sauce; chocolate mousse with ricotta, goat cheese and mint; and figs and coconut with lemon, blueberry cream and sauce.
Average cost: $10-$20
