For a late night taco fix after hitting the bars on West Division Street, Picante is the best (and only) game in stumbling distance. The place may take up just half an address, but you can't miss it no matter how drunk you are; its bright red shingle is as big as its front door. The tiny take-out spot offers up tortas, burritos, fajitas, quesadillas and even a White Boy Taco for those who prefer their meat and tomatoes delivered in a crunchy corn shell.
For the most part, it's your standard taqueria fare—filling, cheap and fast, though it’s worth it to wait the extra few minutes for the Ahi Taco Dinner. You'll probably have to do so outside, as the interior leaves just enough standing room for you and a friend to scan the overhead board and belly up to the counter. Just be sure to have a couple options in mind; Picante has a way of running out of ingredients. They didn't have any black beans on my last visit, and I have yet to successfully order the Chipotle Wings.
