Foodies who love mixing their sushi and Thai food ordering options will go crazy for Kin Sushi, a laid-back, dual-cuisine dining joint in
West Town.
Kin allows for some quality people watching out of the big windows that face Milwaukee Avenue (which, coincidentally, also provide most of the eatery's light) - the tables by the windows are the best seats in the house. The restaurant isn't huge; the menu, however, is. Appetizers range from crab rangoon to edamame; entrees include a number of curry dishes, traditional Thai options like pad Thai and grilled options like the salmon teriyaki.
Sushi fans won't be disappointed – there's plenty of maki to choose from. Options you'd expect like crunchy spicy tuna can be combined with Kin Sushi's specialty rolls such as the Kin maki, made with sweet potato tempura, cream cheese, cucumber, avocado, scallion and spicy mayo and topped with mango.
Kin delivers, for a $2 charge. You can also stop by and order your teriyaki to go, or pre-order it on their website. However, if you're dining inside Kin's dark, modern interior and want to drink, make sure you bring your own wine; Kin is BYOB.
