Crab cake, grilled steak and tortilla-crusted tilapia are just a few of the signature sandwiches this modern subway shop offers. The interior features exposed brick walls, track lighting and wood tables, while the outdoor dining area offers ample seating during the warm summer months.

Not your average sandwich joint, Janik's also serves a variety of fresh salads and sides like potato salad, pasta and Greek and antipasto salads. Oven-baked subs run the gamut from tuna melt and salami to BLT and turkey and ham.

The menu also offers a list of "Chicago's Favorites," like Polish sausages, corned beef, Reuben, meatball subs, Italian sausage and an all beef hotdog. Signature sandwiches cost a mere $4.75, while oven-baked and Chicago sandwiches range from $4.25-4.75. Breakfast, smoothies and ice cream shakes are also available.
