Few things are as comforting as seeing the marquee of Fox's Beverly restaurant fully lit at night. In its full neon glory, the eatery epitomizes everything that family restaurants used to represent. You want comfortable booths and low light? You've got it. Tables stocked with condiments and a basket of rolls? You've got that, as well. In keeping with the Irish history of the neighborhood, the wood accents make you feel as if you're dining in a restaurant on the Emerald Isle.
The food at Fox's is classic sit-down diner fare, served at a pace that will make you forget the hustle outside. Families and groups line up for Fox's chicken buckets. Ranging in size from eight to 20 pieces (complete with sides galore), these buckets will have you asking, "Colonel Who?" Fox's is also noted for its pizzas, but the quality of its pies can be wildly inconsistent. Instead, try one of the pasta dinners. These budget-friendly meals ranging in price from $7.50 to $13 come with parmesan and garlic bread, and teem with hot, bubbling cheese. Filet mignon is a steal at $18. Or, just sit back and order a sandwich and fries.
