Jaded by L.A.'s carb-shunning, media whorish values, Hollywood dropouts Joe Bova and Jeff Steinberg bring their cookie business, kicked up during project downtime out West, to
Lincoln Park in this disco-themed, eight-seat bar setting that was once a Starbucks.
Specializing in chocolate chip, six of their 18 varieties play with doses of Callebaut chocolate, from an "old school" caramel-hinted standard to dairy free "adult" craft batches colored dark in 61% cocoa and semi-sweetened out with extra virgin coconut oil. The other dozen or so rotate about everything from gluten free to jalapeno and pomegranate tricks.
We're not sure what disco has to do with it all, but downed with a shot of hormone-free dairy or soymilk, a healthy dessert dance party's in order for under $2, with organic Alterra coffee and housemade lemonade in brew for other thirsts.
