Though the name sounds pretty ordinary, thereís nothing generic about this killer pizza joint, whose late-night hours (delivery until 5 a.m.) and tasty offerings place it among Chicagoís best. While the menu is stocked with the norm (a thorough selection of thin and stuffed pizzas), it quickly gets interesting. Fresh gourmet pastas fill the menu; choose from varieties like Tortellini Costa Esmerelda (cheese tortellini in a sauce of roasted red peppers, baby shrimp, fresh tomatoes, white wine and cream) and Rigatoni Gorgonzola (tubular pasta with chicken, heavy cream, blue cheese and parmigiano regiano), served with bread and a small salad or soup, all for $10.95 or less.
The true piece de resistance, however, is the gourmet pizza. These clever creations anchor the menu and satisfy any craving. Be sure to try the Four Cheese pizza, an unbelievably flavorful mix of mozzarella, fontina, smoked gouda, romano cheese, and fresh sliced tomatoes and basil. Other varieties include Proscuitto and Goat Cheese, Garlic Loverís, and Mexican.
