Falling back on fast food is a little too easy for Chicago's workaholics. The busy downtown lunching crowd often ends up with bags full of greasy fries and nuggets from the nearest chain burger joint. But those working in the Financial District no longer have an excuse to opt for all that preservative-packed stuff thanks to Joe Farina's (known for
Cafe Bionda and its Wicker Park
spinoff) latest venture, Bionda To Go.
The popular lunch spot offers a bevy of traditional Italian choices from its Wicker Park and South Loop sister locales. You'll find a full menu of sandwiches, salads and pastas including baked mostaccioli and cheese ravioli. So far, the biggest hit here has been Joe's mama's meatball sandwich, but the pasta dishes are hot sellers, too.
