Bring the family to this Arlington Heights restaurant for a lip-smacking celebration featuring all-you-can-eat baby back ribs, sweet potato fires and corn on the cob for just $16 per person.
Cafe des Architectes
This Sofitel Chicago Water Tower restaurant hosts a special edition of its Thursday-night French Barbecue on Father's Day. Guests can choose a protein (flat iron steak, delmonico, rack of lamb, herb-marinated chicken, jumbo shrimp brochettes, ahi tuna steak, NY steak), garden vegetable (fingerling potatoes, grilled portobello mushrooms, ratatouille provencal or confit of fennel) and sauce (nicoise, ravigote, red wine or basil pistou), then watch their meals prepared before their eyes. Cost is $24-$38, depending on protein choice.
Captain Morgan Club
Cubs-fan dads have another chance to fulfill a dream; if he fills out a raffle card at this bar attached to Wrigley Field before noon, he could be getting his picture taken on the field with up to three guests (hopefully he chooses you) one hour before game time. Game tickets are not necessary.

If dad always wanted to be a butcher, this event in Wilmette (hosted by Al's Meat Market) will be a dream come true, with master butchers showing how to break down a beef loin. During the event, you'll enjoy passed appetizers like bacon-wrapped shrimp, phyllo pizza, lamb burgers with tzatziki, a steak trio with three sauces, fried onion rings, tomato, onion and asparagus salad and brownie sundaes. Scotch will be served, and you can get unlimited keg access for an additional $15.
Dads get 15 percent off the breakfast buffet or any entree all day at this West Loop restaurant. Entrees include a half-roasted chicken with fries, cole slaw and corn on the cob; NY Strip steak with smashed potatoes and grilled asparagus; BBQ pork ribs with fries, cole slaw and corn on the cob; and more.
Division Ale House
Dad gets a free entree at this Wicker Park bar and grill, which offers menu items like bangers and mash, NY strip steak with cheddar mashed potatoes and a pepper-crusted Dubliner burger with Irish cheddar and chipotle ketchup. Relax on the patio with dad and watch the Cubs-Angels game during the Big Daddy BBQ, which features specials like Carolina Mustard BBQ-glazed Atlantic salmon ($16.95) and the Big Daddy Lemonade with Jack Daniels, Triple Sec, sweet and sour and Sierra Mist ($8).

The French restaurant offers three- and four-course menus including choices like wild boar & shiraz sausage; Mediterranean-rubbed Muscovy duck breast; and warm profiteroles with vanilla ice cream and Valhrona chocolate sauce. A kids' menu will be available for $15.
Instead of trying to match dad's skills on the grill (or make him do it himself), take him to this Doubletree restaurant where the Father's Day specials include a grilled 12-ounce NY Strip with black truffle, potato fritter, red wine sauce and red onion jam and a rack of hickory wood-smoked baby back ribs with grilled corn and coleslaw. As a bonus, each dad will receive a complimentary beer flight with his entree.
Morton's of Chicago
All six area Morton's locations will offer a Father's Day feast including soup and salad, an entree selection (filet mignon, NY Strip, Cajun ribeye, broiled salmon, chicken Christopher), a choice of vegetable or potato and dessert (carrot cake or hot chocolate cake).

If Dad can really put it away, this all-you-can-eat brunch is a good choice, as O'Donovan's has supplemented its already hearty brunch buffet fare (a waffle station, carved ham and roast beef, biscuits and gravy, a bottomless pit of Sloppy Joes) with some Father's Day specials including Philly steaks, grilled hot dogs and brats, a nacho station and corn bread stuffed with cranberry sauce. $6 White Trash mimosas (Tang and Miller Lite, we hear) will also be available.
Prairie Grass Cafe
