Nothing starts the day better than a hearty peaceful breakfast. But for us snoozers, there is a little place by the
Kedzie Brown Line stop that might just hit the spot before clock-in.
The Ayala brothers opened the restaurant with a simple motto, quality Mexican appetizers for an incredibly low price. Everything on the menu is $2 or less: Mexican appetizers, coffee, linquados (milkshakes) you can mix and match with deals like three-for-two on quesadillas, sopas or tamales so you won’t leave hungry or feel ripped off. They offer deals on quantity, so score points with your co-workers and ask about their party specials.
But for the rest of us disgruntled morning commuters, there are delicious breakfast pastries, churros filled with chocolate or strawberry or fried tortillas sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar, so light and sweet on the wallet you won’t mind the morning train crowds.
