Fuller Park Community Development Corporation (FPDC) operates this urban oasis, the only nature center on Chicago's South Side. Visitors experience firsthand the live simulation of a nature preserve providing a bio-diversified environment exploring the mechanics of a wetland, prairie and woodland.

The Eden Place Explores school field trip program was developed to educate children from Chicago area public and private schools about environmental literacy and to train them to serve as stewards of their own ecological environment. FPDC has developed collaborations with many local schools because of the kid-friendly, hands-on curriculum. As a result, attendance at Eden Place has grown significantly since its inception five years ago.
