The Museum now has a new exhibit called "Is It Real" which challenges the process of determining the authenticity of an historical artifact. Fascinating! The best new Museum in Chicago!

--- I meant "Monday is free, with everyday being a $12 suggested donation." -- A great place to visit.

The show running through 9/23/07, "THE ESSENTIAL ART SHAY: Selected Photographs" is great! Mr. Shay's b&W camera and writing skills are on grand display. Well over 100 photos included captivating prints of JFK, Nixon, McCarthy, Hemmingway, Bellows, Daley, Brando, Liberace, Marceau, Liz Taylor.... and an intimate look at Mr Shay's relationship with one of Chicago's best writers ever, Nelson Algren. Alot to make you think twice. What an honest tapestry he created, raw, before photoshop. Mr. Shay is a real true artist.
Monday's are "free" with suggested fee of $12... -- Not the only really nice exhibit there & a great additional place to take the kids in Lincoln Park area.
This photo show will be talked about in the art history books 20, 50, 100 years from now, so now you can really see it. :)
