To whom it may concern, I don’t appreciate being Threatened. I googled “Stanley’s On Racine” and I am posting at every place I find that I have nothing against you and I do not understand your animosity against me. I only wanted to take pictures of the Stanley’s On Racine Building in the daytime, and it was a PERFECT DAY today, and at night with the brilliant blue sign lit up and the decorations for Cinco De Mayo to show my Grandmother in Tucson. I even called you after I took the photos to calm you down because I have no idea why the staff got upset. I took over 120 photos in total from the exterior of the build and the interior of the residential section of the building because of the antique fixtures and interesting layout of the interior. I took about 30 pictures of the trees and purple blooming shrubs on the patio just to be calming desktop wallpaper. If you would like copies of any of the photos I have not deleted for being out of focus or that I just didn’t like, I will be more than willing to provide you with digital copies. If you want me to print them up, I would need you to provide the photo paper and ink because I don’t have enough for 100+ photos. Again, I have nothing against you but don’t appreciate disparaging remarks of any kind since I have very little bad to say against you.

I went here for lunch with a co worker a few times & the food was very good, their ribs are wonderful, then a few weeks later we went here after work & my opinion of it changed. The music in the bar is turned up so loud you can't hear anyone above, literally, a scream. People outside playing 'bags' started to stumble around & get annoyingly drunk. You shouldn’t have people be that intoxicated before 9:00pm, if at all.

People arriving drunk parked at all angles in the parking lot because there are no paint lines or rows marked in the far lot. My coworker was unable to get his car out & we had to go inside & SCREAM to the woman behind the bar to ask for the drivers of one of the 2 cars blocking him in to move them. Their alcohol prices are over the top but it doesn’t stop people from quickly consuming FAR too much alcohol. (There is even a car’s mirror trapped in the damaged fence from where someone hit it & apparently didn’t notice.)

We had a group of 44 people with a buffet and an open bar on Saturday 8/16/08. The food was terrific, the service was good, and we made sure the bartenders worked their tails off. Slight delay in refilling the food, but no problems. Comfortable seating with plenty of room. Drinks were plentiful with no issues of timeliness. Great event for us and a great job done by all at Stanley’s.

Was here once when it opened and the service was slow. Was back last week on a Wednesday and what a change. Service was great and the food was also. The manager was very nice and so was the staff. Lunch wasn't served in 10 minutes but we didn't expect it to be. Would definitely go again.

Consistently the WORST SERVICE in Chicago! Working in the West Loop poses many problems at lunchtime! There is no parking; restaurants are too far to walk too, etc. So, when our office found Stanley’s on Racine, we were ecstatic! Then came the big let down – good food, TERRIBLE SERVICE! If you only have an hour for lunch – DO NOT eat here! Want soup before your meal? Forget it! Want to receive what you ordered? Forget it! Want refills on your drinks? Forget it! Want your check in a timely manner? Forget it! Want wait staff that cares? FORGET IT!

Unimpressed. I should have expected it when no info about this location was on there website. A restaurant lovechild that they want to hide? We ordered carry out. Their sweet potato "fries" (chips, really) were burned. They forgot to pack sides. I called in and asked to speak with a manager. She was unresponsive at best and she acted put out that we were calling. She gave lame excuses but never apologized. After much chatter she did credit our c/c for the missing items but for nothing else. She also would not initially do it over the phone but wanted us to come back in. It is also interesting to note that everything on the menu is .50 to 1.50 more expensive than the Lincoln park location.

Do not go to this place! We had a large group 18+ people and were treated extremely poorly. We had spent at least $400 and received the worst service ever! Towards the end our group dwindled down to around 6 people, we asked the hostess (?) 4 different times for someone to come and take our order, no one came. We directly asked servers to come and take our order, they would not come. We begged for our order to be taken and after 1 hour (we should have left) we finally had a server. They do not deserve our money.

I decided to give a second try and attempted to make a lunch reservation for 16. I was told by the manager that we should not expect to get out of there quickly. I asked how long he thought is should take and he said " I can't tell you that, how am I suppose to know what you are going to order, you are coming at the height of the lunch time crowd, how do I know how many other people will be here". Needless to say, we are not going. Greektown service is much better.

    Who owns this place ???

I have visited Stanley's only twice, and both times I was greeted with indifference. The first time, it was a cold winter night. We ordered burgers medium rare and found them to be well done when they arrived. The waitress asked if our food was okay, and when we told her that our burgers were well done, her reply was "oh". She rarely checked back with us for drink orders, and it took her about thirty minutes to calculate our check. Today we arrived with a group of eight after church for brunch. We were greeeted(?) by the host, actually we greeted him and asked for smoking. He pointed us to the bar. We walked in. There was one customer at at table. NO one acknowledged our presence. They probably did not notice when we left either. This place better improve their attitude, if that matters to the owners. When we were walking out, a young couple was entering and asked us how was the food. When we related our experience they left, too. One good experience will bring you many diners, but one bad will turn away 20
