I have eaten here twice and the first time, ok really great eggs benedict but the second time, the server could not be bothered which was evidenced by her disappearing act as soon as I sat down and neither could the general manager when I indicated I would not leave a tip for the appalling service I got. This restaurant is over-hyped, over-rated, over-everything! I was so disgusted--don't bother.

Amazing! I found David Burke's Primehouse on Open Table while looking for a place to take my Mom to celebrate her birthday. I found an American Dim Sum small plates dining experience that was truly incredible. I highly recommend this place and have been telling people about it ever since. The start was a small fancy pastry shell with egg that came from the kitchen...and then there is silver cart, after silver cart, and more silver carts coming to your table with delicious gourmet delicacies. In addition they keep bringing food from the kitchen. The quality is wonderful, the service a delight, and every bite made me happy.

SERIOUSLY overpriced, and there are FAR better choices within a short walking distance of Primehouse. This is the fifth restaurant I've eaten at which was owned by a chef who competed on Iron Chef America, and every one of them was quite bad. It is obvious to me at this point that Food Network purposely chooses weak chefs with some/any reputation at all in order to make sure their own mega-over-rated in-house talent could win. On a scale of 1 to 10, Burkes gets a 2.

0 stars were not available.DB commented at the bar "he was going to show Chicago a proper steak house".Service: waitress was pleasant, she expected her food runners to explain the food if needed(oysters, cheese)they didn’t. Tiny tables as well.Food:dumplings were cold, and the shortrib filling tasted of burnt braising liquid. The rib eye was small and tasted like a blood clot/liver. All 4 of our steaks were overcooked (we are rare to medrare ppl). The broccoli baked potato side was cold and flavorless.Steak needed salt but does David’s precious Himalayan salt aged meat deserve the iodized salt on the table? The cheese plate was ok; but there are better offerings in the city. The cheesecake lollipops are a laughable dessert of cheap colored chocolate and a pot of raspberry mousse to dip. Thanks for showing a transplanted NYer how your kicking our culinary butts in the steakhouse scene.Garbage!

My husband and I ate here on October 6 to celebrate his birthday. The waiter spilled a beer all over my head/neck and cashmere sweater. While the restaurant was quick to clean it up, we got ZERO compensation for this incident. They did not even offer the beer that they spilled to us for free. We spent well over $200 for our meal (which was pretty good) and they offered us nothing. WE WILL NEVER DINE HERE AGAIN and we would like to let everyone know that David Burke doesn't give a crap about customer service. I experience better customer service at Chili's or other chain restaurants. Extremely disappointing.

Why not try a delicious dram of Bladnoch Single Malt Scotch whisky, highly rated and rare even in Scotland but available at David Burke's Primehouse.

Great tasting bone-in ribeye, one of the best I've ever had, but it could have been trimmed better. And serving popovers just isn't consistent with a steak house concept; butter was too cold/hard to spread, but very high quality. Thumbs up for the mini-pie dessert option! . Don't pass up the truffle mousse for your steak - a rare find and incredible flavor. Very noisy, but I'd still go back.

I had dinner at David's Burke Primehouse last night and everything was superb. The bone in filet was the best filet I had ever tasted. Staff was friendly and knowledgable. A new landmark in Chicago. Robert

Wow. The Angry Lobster was fantastic, and the aged bone-in ribeye was the most succulent chunk of cow I've ever had. No doubt they take their steak seriously.

Awesome food. This establishment is very serious about their steak and I would not be surprised to see Primehouse become known as the best steak house in Chicago, despite the competiton. Also our server was very warm and professional, my wife adored her. The lollipop tree was phenomenally delicious and fun for the whole table. I was a little apprehensive going in so soon after the opening but glad I checked it out, its our new favorite restaurant!
