La Finca, tucked away on an unassuming stretch of Elston north of Belmont,is an unsung treasure among Chicago Mexican restaurants. It is family-owned and operated, and they serve up some of the best most wholesome Mexican food around, and at affordable prices. Their guacamole and margaritas are up among the two or three best in the city. Their carne asada, enchiladas, and tacos are excellent, salads finely prepared, and they serve a uniquely delicious pea soup. All thumbs up for LaFinca!

Went to La Finca with friends last night for the first time and it was excellent. The chips are hot and homemade, the guacamole was fresh and really good, and there were a ton of tempting options on the menu. I went with a skirt steak that was served with sauteed shrimp, grilled onions and grilled mushrooms on top (came with rice and great refried beans), and it was all fantastic. The margaritas are really good and pretty cheap too. I would definitely recommend La Fina and will return myself.

I have been going to La Finca for the past 8 or so years. I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal. Everything they serve is wonderful. Filet a la Finca is a favorite of my husband's. Even my 3 yr old loves their tacos. If you like Margaritas...this is the place for you! I've had to call a cab on occasion!
