I really enjoyed the ambiance and the fact that this place was BYOB but the sushi was just average. Also, the service was really slow despite the fact that there were only a few tables. I don't think I will go back.

i don't know how i didn't find this place earlier. literally right around the corner from me. unique rolls blend fabulous textures and flavors and extremely fresh fish. the tables are a little crowded and sound certainly carries, but once you've got the food all else is irrelevant. Just a small response to previous reviews: "not enough teas" They have nearly 40 teas of high quality. The "sluggish" service? This isn't McDonalds people, sushi takes a while to prepare especially if you sit down at the same time as 4 other tables. Finally they are BYOB as a "booze" license, as someone brilliantly called it, is next to impossible to get in chicago. Instead they focus on their teas and let you bring your own with no corkage fee. I highly recomend it, the owners love to chat, so does the chef. Mind blowing signature rolls and extremely fresh fish.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant. I have not had better sushi anywhere else in the city. I love their sashimi and my husband always orders their signature maki. We order a different tea each time we go and usually finish with the mochi ice cream, which isn't listed on the menu. Their service has always been very friendly and attentive. Ask for their specials, they seem to always be offering something new.

Slow service. Actually, "slow" isn't the right word for it. "Crawling," "sluggish," and "negligent" seem to fit better. Went to T-Spot on Saturday night around 8:30 p.m. There was a total of four tables with patrons, including our's, and dinner took almost two hours from start to finish - with most of our time being spent tapping our fingers, waiting. No compensation, no manager to say, "Sorry," nothing. While the sushi was edible, the service was horrible, and the tables were cramped (three of the four tables were jammed in a corner together where we could overhear each and every syllable of our dining neighbor's conversation.) For four hand rolls and a gyoza appetizer, the wait was certainly not worth it. Avoid T-spot like the plague.

Atmospher is great (romantic lighting, table near big window, cute furnishings)... although too many tables and tables are too small for sushi plate, pot of tea, cups, etc. Not enough tea selection. Sushi was good, but a little pricey. Parking was a little difficult on weekends. They need to add mochi icecream balls to their menu and get their booze license. Service was OK, not the best for a place that should be on top of their game because they just opened. Not sure if I'll go back, but all-in-all my husband and I had a good time.

been to this place twice already since it's grand opening 2 weeks ago. took my friends and sister on both occasions and they love this place. i really like their signature maki selections. although the menu does not mention deserts, they do have japanese ice cream available. just ask for them. highly recommended as an alternate choice for kamahachi, kaze and sai. nice and cozy atmosphere.

Great North Center Sushi Spot. My wife and I had dinner there Sunday Night. Not too crowded & got seated immediately. The Nigiri was on par with most of Chicago's Favorite Sushi Spots. The Signature Makis were different - but were instant hits with us. Great seating, decor, service and PARKING!! We'll be back.

Wide selection of sushi and rolls to choose from with signature platters. Large teas menu from different regions.
