We decided to eat here this past week and were wonderfully surprised! What a fantastic little venue with GREAT staff! The individual attention and concern that we have a great experience were impressive. The meal itself was delicious and we cannot wait to go back. The Steak frites was juicy and perfectly seasoned. The duck was tender and coupled with a wonderful sauce that truly complemented it. All this and the meal was VERY fairly priced. Two main dishes, four drinks, and two appetizers came to only $60.

wow - I am stunned that anyone has anything bad to say about my favorite restaurant in Chicago. Sure, I live around the corner, but every time I've gone the creative dishes have been nothing short of amazing. The waiters (more like hosts) have always been very friendly and polite. The come-as-you-are atmosphere makes it all the more comfortable. Plus, it's BYOB! What's not to love?

Worst meal we had in Chicago, The fixed price menu was $28.00 you get a choice of 3 items from the menu, we had; Pate that was lifeless and had a bologna aftertaste served with semi stal bread, crab cakes with "shell in", that were mostly cake served with mustard sauce that was uninspired. I think I broke a filling on the bits o' shells that were so cleverly not removed from the cakes. They managed to not screw up my Caesar salad, but I have certainly had better. My main course was a "flat iron steak", a lifeless piece of beef that tasted as if it were boiled to perfection and then slapped on the fire for some grill marks. It was served over a bed of severly undercooked potatoes and bland undercooked brussel sprouts with a frugal crumbin' of blue cheese. I refused to eat the main course. All of this for a mere $80.00

Amazing food! The most gorgeous and friendly waiters ever! They never allowed our wine glasses to empty and were so gracious. The deviled eggs & artichoke appetizer were phenonmenal.

WORST PLACE EVER!! The food that was supposed to be cold was warm and the warm food was cold. The service was rude. They "accidently" overcharged me on the bill. Not only would I never go there again, but I would never walk past it again as the memories from HB are so dreadful. Save yourself, AVOID!
