I don't know why this restaurant is listed under the vegan-friendly category - there's little for a vegetarian and less for a vegan to eat here. I had the roasted beet salad was tasty and the roasted vegetable sandwich was just OK. The best thing about this place is the decor and atmosphere. Friendly staff helped but I certainly would not recommend this place to vegetarians. It was my mistake for not looking at the menu online before going. However, I would recommend enjoying a glass of wine or cocktail in their great bar/lounge area.

7.25.07 was my 4th visit to this establishment and I must say this time the service was just awesome! We had a waiter that was being trained by "Marco" and the two of them together provided dynamite service. First let me start by saying we were there for lunch and we didn't make reservations. Although the dining room was really crowded we were still seated in less than 5 minutes. Once seated the waiter in training came right over and introduced himself and took our drink orders. Then we ordered the Ropa Vieja and Steak & Cheese Quesadilla for appetizers with sour cream on the side. When our food arrived there was sour cream on it and not on the side. We didn't complain since it wasn't much. (we could just scrape it off) The manager was passing our table and saw one of the persons in our party scraping it off and he immediately stopped and insisted on replacing the order w/o sour cream. He did it in about 3 minutes and comped us for it. Throughout the rest of the dining experience our waiters were very attentive without crossing the line of being bothersome. I think in order to have a pleasant dining experience it begins with SERVICE, SERVICE, SERVICE and this by far was one of the best service experience that I have ever had. Shout out to "MARCO".

I recommend this place if you are looking for a fun place to go for drinks. The service was great; however, I was not impressed with the food. The guacamole was OK and was pretty much bland and plain. The yucca con mojo was very tough and barely had any of the mojo sauce. Although I didn't like most of the food, I did enjoy the Ropa Vieja and the raspberry mojitos!

I went to this restaurant over the weekend and I have to say I loved it. Everything about the place makes you feel like you are in Southern America. The food is to die for, and our waiter was at our service the entire night. We spent almost 2hrs there without even knowing it. I will definately go back again!

Went to Carnivale for the first time recently and was quite impressed. The guacamole was delicious and with plenty of lime juice - the way I like it. There was a special soup of the evening - sweet potato w/ peppers - delicious - and the entrees were the best - - roasted pork shoulder w/ black beans and rice and braised short ribs with potatoes and corn. Both were divine. We also enjoyed the special blood orange dessert trio. Attentive and courteous waiter, good service...we will definitely return.

We ate there on Saturday December 16, 2006. The food was excellent, but the service was very rushed. We had a late dinner reservation and the attempts at taking our nearly full plates wouldn't stop. It got to the point that I asked our waitress for the check early, so she would stop hovering over us. We were planning on having coffee and dessert, but the mood left us. This type of service is unacceptable, no matter what the cost of the meal--and we spent over $150 for the two of us. I left the GM a message regarding this incident, but so far have heard no response.

If you love great tasting food, this is the place for you. I keep going back for the fish tacos and braised short beef rib entrees. The atmosphere is joyful, fun and very inviting. Great staff.

Very artistic and energized atmosphere. Entertaining & knowledgeable waiter, Brian, suggested scallops ceviche & a white chocolate cheese cake. Both were delicious. We were here for our anniversary & will spread the good news. Service was very timely & the hostess was gracious.

I also visited the restaurant the smae day Michael Jordan was there, but that was not the highlight of the night. My husband brought me for my birthday and I fell in love. I thought the food was great, every part from the appetizers to dessert. The horchatinis are a must! A great place for a first date or an anniversary......4 thumbs up!!!!

Obviously THE place to be, atmosphere was electric and fun. Michael Jordan even dined this night. Was part of large private party. Food was unique and excellent and served family style for us. Courses were picked up quickly after service, but experienced waits between courses.
