After a great day at the ballpark and visiting a few other bars in the area, my wife and I stepped into Merkles and were pleasantly surprised to find a great bar/eatery a bit further`down the beaten path on Clark. We have gone back after games and the experience has gotten better each time. Very friendly and not at all intimidating. We recommend giving this a shot and perhaps having one. We found it worth the time, money and few extra steps to get there.

I have been to Merkle's a bunch of times as my wife and I live around the corner. Only bar on Clark that we visit - the owners and bartenders are super friendly and the food is great!
