I have taken carriage rides from the few major companies and i loved this one. The driver was friendly, and went out of his way to explain what we were seeing (even though we knew because we live here). Nice job all the way around. I would tell anyone visiting to take thias ride, it is well worth the price.

I will always fondly remember the double wedding with my twin sister in Chicago. We each had three wonderful horse-drawn carriages, provided by Antique Coach and Carriage, promenading us through Lincoln Park. Each was appropriately adorned with floral arragements and impecibly clean and cripspy white. The coaches arrived early and gave extra service with no difficulty. We plan to commemorate this event with future carriage rides by Antique Coach and Carriage of Chicago.

I have always ordered my carriage rides from Antique when visiting Chicago or giving a gift to a family member. They are the most professional and most like the rides in my own Amish state of Pennsylvania. They always double check with me to make sure about arrangements, time and quality assessments. I highly recommend them to everyone.

This is a rebuttal to Greg (Is Greg trying to get out of trouble?)The original reservation was made in January, by the Bride. In May, the groom called to change it to take to the church only. When the carriage arrived at the Church, the sister in law signed the charge slip(Which had the adjusted amount, and the Father of the bride tipped the driver. No one had any reason to question anything (except the driver who was tipped 1/2 the custumary amount). When the Bride(zilla)saw the carriage had left, the husband called, and luckily the carriage had been blocked by a marathon in the park and was able to return within 10 minutes. All the people were still there and pictures were still being taken in the church. They still took the carriage to their reception, the driver adjusted the bill to reflect the extra distance and travel time minus $80 for any inconvenience, and all was well until several weeks later we got a call from the bride requesting a full refund for what amounted to a ten minute inconvenience. The only person getting angry was the bride. We gave an $80 discount for somethin due to THEIR ERROR.??? I am sorry, but the customer is not ALWAYS right. Someone in that family needs to confess. Oh, and just who was the surprise for?

I would never, ever use antique coach and carriage again for any event or even just a carriage ride through downtown. They are extremely disorganized, unfriendly and deceptive.

After contracting with them to provide a carriage for my wedding day and going over the schedule of the day with them several times, they left before the ceremony was over leaving my bride and I without our carriage rise to the reception. When they were contacted at the conclusion of the ceremony, they became angry with us and told us that we had never mentioned that they would be taking us to our reception even though they still charged us the price quoted originally. They refuse to give us money back or even acknowledge they did anything wrong. They they told us that someone else called to change schedule of our day (even though nobody knew about the carriage as it was a surprise) essentially admitting that they had originally known they were supposed to take us to our reception. Do not trust them to do what they say they are supposed to do. It's much more of a headache than a carriage ride needs to be. Use a different service.
