I've always had prompt, good service at Candlelite, and the food is a good deal better than average, though I do miss the original garlic fries. To correct another reviewer, there actually is a kid's menu. The main drawback is the omnipresent TV (they even have them in the bathrooms!) and the cigarette smoke from the bar area. If you get there early the smoke is much less in evidence. For me it's definitely worth going for the food and decent beer selection.

Honesly, I don't get the love for Candlelite. It's too loud, there're too many TV's, and the service is just horrible. We've never gotten a meal served in under 45 minutes. This is fine for a sports bar, of couse, but I wish they'd stop advertising as a family friendly place. There's not even a kid's menu!

Until the bring back the old garlic fry recipe, I won't be back.
I have sent loads of people there for that one menu item. To replace it with shoestring potatos sans garlic.
What were they thinking? I hope the owners hear enough to bring back the real fries.

I'm a big fan of the Candlelite. The burgers are big,flavorful and cheap. If you don't care about your breathe or what seeps out of your pores try the tasty garlic fries. This isn't the place to go if you are watching your waistline, but it's laid back and has a pleasant decor.
