    I'd have to agree with Mr. Roberts, unless one is really experienced with fine dining, you might think Jameson's is fine dining. It is not. I question the quality of the meat. I felt that the restaurant was dirty and dusty. I felt very rushed. Obviously, Jameson's owners have not heard of the concept wherein customers are recognized and known by name. The manager was cold, I witnessed a manager scolding a server for chit chatting with a guest, it was horrible. In my circle, we go to restaurants where the server as provided excellent service, while the food is high quality. I feel as if Jameson's is a high priced Greek coffee shop. I will not return

    Jameson's (Mt. Prospect) is one of my favorite restaurants. I love the fresh fish selection and my husband always enjoys his red meat and potatoes. I highly recommend this restaurant for good food and service.

    This review is for the Jameson's Char House in Mount Prospect (the other Jameson's on Dundee is not the same restaurant and has a different owner), which I have been eating at for about 8 years. I have always eaten steaks at Jameson's in the past as they are consistently well prepared and with a very high quality meat; I recommend the Kansas City Strip! I decided to write this review because I recently began sampling their fish menu and was just as delighted as I am with their steaks. I recommend the Halibut (Greek style) - it is as good as you will find in the North Shore area. My wife particularly enjoys the restaurant as they will alter anything on their menu to be more healthy (i.e., grilled, steamed, no oil, no butter, it doesn't matter they do it). At the end of the night I am always pleased with the quality and selection of the food, the level of service and the value received for my dollar. Well done Jameson's!

    I RECENTLY VISITED THE CHARHOUSE LOCATED IN MOUNT PROSPECT. WE WERE THREE COUPLES. THE THREE OF US GUYS ALL ORDERED THE 28 OZ. BONE-IN RIBEYE STEAK. ONE ORDERED MEDIUM RARE, MYSELF AND THE OTHER GENTLEMAN ORDERED MEDIUM WELL. WHEN THE STEAKS ARRIVED TO OUR TABLE IT WAS VERY PLAIN TO SEE THAT THE MEDIUM RARE WAS A LOT LARGER THAN THE THE 2 MEDIUM WELL STEAKS. I QUESTIONED THE WAITER ABOUT THE DIFFERENCE IN THE SIZE AND HE TOLD ME THAT IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE DIFFERENCE IN DONENESS. I KNOW A STEAK WILL SHRINK A LITTLE MORE WHEN COOKED LONGER , BUT THE DIFFERENCE WAS MUCH TOO MUCH TO BE BECAUSE OF THAT. I HAVE BEEN CUTTING MEAT FOR OVER 40 YEARS AND HAVE DONE A LOT OF CUTTING TESTING FOR THE NATIONAL CATTLEMANS BEEF ASSOCIATION OVER THE PAST 15 YEARS AND KNOW A 28 0Z. STEAK WHEN I SEE IT. MY STEAK LOOKED AS IF IT WERE ABOUT 20 OUNCES RAW WEIGHT. ALSO , MY MEDIUM-WELL STEAK WAS DONE TOO WELL-DONE, NO PINK AT ALL AND ON THE DRY SIDE. THE OTHER MEDIUM-WELL STEAK WAS COOKED PERFECTLY WITH JUST A SLIGHT PINK CENTER. OTHER THAN THE PROBLEM WITH THE STEAKS, EVERYTHING ELSE WAS VERY NICE. THANK YOU, JERRY W. ROBERTS
