I used to thoroughly enjoy this restaurant however they seemed to have changed their staff or their management. Not sure which. Lately delivery has been slow and the food arrives cold. Also, their customer service has gone completely downhill. I was actually hung up on for requesting that my order be repeated back. Their BBQ ribtips are still great and sometimes worth the hassle of dealing with the sucky service.

Everytime I place an order with this resaturant it is not correct. They try fixing the order quickly but they are either not done, too done. You call and give specific instrucitons what not to put on your food and they add whatever they want. My problem with the restaurant is that they have not remedies for completing an order incorrectly.

I so wish that we can tag other reviews as offensive or nescient. Anyways, I had the pleasure of ordering their fried chicken and polish. It was very tasty. Delivery was fast. I would order from them again in a heartbeat.

Hate to contradict the other reviews, but Uptown Pizza & BBQ is for the homeless and near homeless only. Their fried chicken is OK, though a bit dry, but you'll spend about 25 minutes waiting for it. The only people with that kind of free time are the hos and traffickers of the neighborhood. If you don't mind sitting around waiting with those types, go to Jake's at Montrose and Sheridan. Better broasted chicken, faster service.

I recently wrote a review and wanted to post this addition: Convenience: The chicken cam be delivered!!! (give it 45 mins. as it is made to order - Do you feel special yet???) I've gotten it as late as 10:30pm right in time for my craving. Good to know, since the KFC on Broadway south of Montrose just closed. :-(

2 Words - "Broasted Chicken" - google it and you will find that this process is a)patented b)delicious. Pressure fried chicken rocks... these guys do it well. The chicken breading may seem a bit dark upon inspection but the seasoning and moistness overcomes (rosemary perhaps in the breading). The taste is lovely - convince them to do "all thighs" as this is the best skin to meat ratio. Anyhow this rocks for chicken. Also, and very suprisingly, the 10" deep pan pizza rocks! And is made fresh. We get it with pepperoni and black olives. For a place that offers alot on the menu this place does it well. We have also ordered 1 pound of gyro meat for omelets in the morning. Cole slaw is good too. Hope this helps.

Great place! My favorites are the hot wings and the spaghetti. I always have them deliver and the food is always smoking hot. Try their tacos also. They are colorful with vegetables and not too much oil. Their prices are unbeatable. I don't eat pork, but my fiance' said it's delicious.
