One of the oldest taverns in the City of Chicago. A legacy is now dead. If you like pink lights, disco balls, the manager's dozen bad songs played repeatedly on an IPod, ungrateful barrtenders, and bad pours you will be comfortable at the Burwood.

If you want to watch the Bears, Cubs, Sox or Bulls, I suggest you go to any other establishment with the word Tap, Tavern or Pub in its title.

The Burwood Tap is one of the best bars in that area, if you are looking for a place with a good down to earth crowd. The posts about violence in the bar are ridiculous... probably some pissed off 18 year-old who got his ID taken.

This bar is a great time! The servers are great and the drinks are cheap! The bouncers are friendly and are there to help you, not harm you! I love neighborhood taverns and this is one of my favorite! I am on a softball team and we love our server, Jamie, and the rest of the staff!

I don't know what bouncers you guys are talking about. The bouncers greet you at the door with a very friendly hello, and if they know you, it's a handshake. I can't see any of the current bouncers starting any violence.

How the heck can you knock the Burwood Tap (BWT, as I affectionately call it)? The people are friendly, the bar tenders are ultra-friendly, and the women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capestrano. This is a joint w/ character, and Chicagoans should be proud to call it their own! Can I getta Stella, pleeeeeez?

    Everyone there is underage.

    Correction.

Who would want to return to a bar where violence takes place and the owner condones it? After these reviews, I wouldn't visit a bar where this ocurrs. Any owner that allows for violence to ocurr on their premises and allows for it to be continued violence and for it to happen towards innocent patrons and allows their customers to become victims of violence is inappropriate.

One of the worst bars in Chicago. Drunk rugby players and yuppie-chick wannabes.
