I eat at horizons offen and I just love the food its always hot fresh and a HUGE amout of food!!! The Daily specials are so good all the time and lets talk about the soup well lets just say is LOVE IN THE BOWL!!!!! Then theres Jon's Ranch dressing as homer would say auhhhh Ranch dressinggg "lots a slava out of the mouth" GREAT.... Nick, Stella, Jon, George are great people they are the best! I have all but stop eating anyware else because no other resturant measures up for their down home cooking. Its by far the best I have had any where in the world and I travel alot. I look forward to coming home and going to "my home resturant" and eating a great home made meal.

This is my favorite family cafe in Chicago. The soups which are made daily by Nick's dad are fantastic and range from tomato couscous to traditional chicken noodle. For breakfast, I reccomend the french omlette with guyere cheese in it. It is large enough for two people and for dinner the mediteranian chicken sandwhich with olives and feta. There really is something for everyone and don't forget to say hi to Stella- Nick's mom

I love this place. It's one of the very few authentic diners. No bull-hit here!! Food is very high quality and authentic "homemade" flavor. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. Service is good and friendly. What more can you ask for in a diner?? Check this place out.

It has been 15 months and the re-opening of Horizon Cafe was well worth the wait. The new interior is warm and inviting, and the food is even awesome with a lot more selections on the menu. The new desserts are excellent too. Thanks for bring this restaurant back to the community. Based on the wait, there are a lot of us who were wating for the re-opening!!

I don't care how long it takes for Horizon to open, the community will support you. Chef Johns'soups and specials are well worth the wait! See you when you open!

My father, John, and I would like to take this time to thank our loyal customers during our unexpected hiatus due to the March 2005 fire. Please note that we plan on coming back to this location with an updated menu, focusing on our popular food items including new healthy--yet tasty entrees. We have been busy working with vendors and contractors and our excited for our upcoming return. Please be patient and look for more details in the near future. Again, thank you and we look forward to seeing all our friends. Respectfully, Nickolas J. Cocalis, Managing Partner.

I drive by often and it doesnt look like they are rebuilding very quickly. I wonder if they are closed for good or not.
