On Thursday 2/7/08 10:41 PM
We are regulars at this restaurant. We know the owners and they are good hard working people.
Our first Thursday experience was sometime ago and we noticed then that the staff generally don't clean the tables until they have to.
I go in and want to sit at a table of 4 (we are two) and the staff never have a problem with us sitting there. I asked the waitress if that table has finished (It was not cleaned) She said yes and I could wait for it to be available. The waitress then asks if I can sit at a table for 2 that's already setup. After I said "I suppose so" she then got the message that I'd prefer to sit where I asked to sit and where they originally offered us to sit.
When we sit at our table of four which is two tables joined together the waitress only cleaned the actual table we are sitting at and not the adjoining table. I asked her to clean it and she didn't do so for another 10 minutes. It was about 10 minutes before we were able to order our food.
As I said we are regulars and since my wife is Thai she expects to be spoken to politely but this one waitress deliberately speaks to her without say "ka" which is a form of impoliteness in Thai.
We respect the owners and the staff who work there on any day but Thursday nights.
I encourage folks to try this restaurant as it's very well priced food for the area and most of the time our experience has been pleasant but the restaurant is generally more presentable on any day but Thursdays.
