Cafe Sushi is a great sushi spot. I have been there numerous times, in the evening and in the day, and I can say that the food has been very consistent. The Hawaiian is my definite favorite, with its clean taste of smokes salmon and cream cheese...and the tempura crunch that is lightly fried is amazing. I also get the Rainbow, Dragon, Spider and Las Vegas Maki. The only bad things about Cafe Sushi are the service and the lack of decent parking. I've only been once or twice when the place was actually packed full of people, and always have noticed that the service staff is consistently BAD. There is one guy in particular who spent the entire time I was there with my entourage reading the newspaper and my friend had to stand up and wave her arms about her head like a desperate idiot in order to get his attention..and even then, it was the sushi chefs who noticed her doing so and alerted the waiter. But it is not the serving staff I travel to get when I go to a restaurant, so all these people whining about how bad service sucks should stay at home....because I go to have a good time, eat good food and keep a good amount of money in my pocket, which I always do at Cafe Sushi. I will be going tomorrow after work....lol!

Anyone that truly knows good sushi should not visit here. They did not even get the basic of the sushi rice right. It was either they really suck, or I am thinking they used old rice from the night before because the rice was hard and dry (NASTY). Also, I saw the waiter messed up my order when the guy was making my maki, but instead of remaking my $12 roll, they just added more spice and pretend nothing happened.

I was a regular here until I had a horrendous experience. I waited 40 minutes for my order to be taken. When the waiter added in his own tip for the group of 6 I was with, I questioned it (no where was the policy on the menu). The service was terrible, so 20% seemed extreme. The waiter then proceeded to turn the lights off while we were still eating our meal as he was eager to close the restaurant. I am a neighborhood local and will NEVER go to this rude establishment again!

Spent $54 + $8 (tips) last Friday and I just noticed they charged 112 to my bank account... that is a $60 tip... Will call them today to find out but they could have spared me the hassle... If they do not give me my money back, I will post on this site again.

Cafe Sushi is the best ever!!! Its my favorite reasturant. Its food s great and all the dishes unique. The service is great and its always clean. Plus it has a calming laid-back atmosphere. I give it 5 stars!!
