Are these people serious?! You're supposed to review the bar... Centerstage review does this dive justice, however you mustn't forget the pool table. Strong, cheap drinks with friendly service.

I went to Zakopane last year, it was my first time in Poland so was a bit of an experience. The skiing is very basic, with a fragmented lift system operated by local farmers and land owners. There is one main cable car that runs very infrequently with hour long waiting times. At the top you have a choice either left or right. However with some fresh snow there are some off piste opportunities.
What Zakopane lacks in skiing it makes up with a great town and other mountain activities. There area loads of good bars and restaurants, and the town has an almost wild west frontier feel about it. Food and drink is cheap and the locals are open and friendly.
Zakopane also seems to be popular with families and would be a good choice if not everyone wants to ski as there are plenty of other facilities, including a large shopping area and outdoor market.
I’m not sure if I would go skiing there again, but would defiantly love to visit again in the summer and explore the pretty mountain range.
I would recommend Zakopane for anybody looking for to get away from the typical over developed ski and mountain areas in Europe and experience something completely different.

I have been teaching skiing and snowboarding professionally all over the world for the last 6 years (Canada, France, Italy, Switzerland) in all the big resorts(Whistler, Courchevel, Megeve, Zermatt) Not only is Zakopane easily on their level with regards to facilities it is also 3-5 times CHEAPER! It is the most exciting place I have ever been and I would recommend to anyone who loves having a great time to go there! It rocks!
NOTICE: This is NOT the OFFICIAL Zakopane website. These reviews are a forum for opinions about the venue that other Centerstage Chicago users may want to know, not to order merchandise, apply for a job, etc.
