I just ate there and it was great. Everything perfectly done and timed. The wait staff were very attentive. The food is delicious and subtle. They are now BYOB which was just great with me. The desserts were marvelous the homemade ice creams were perfect with their paired desserts.

After reading the 2-1-08 Posting I thought I should comment. I read the posting to see if I should return. SweetandSavories chef/owner is excellent. However, the front of the house is terrible. Since his look alike long time waiter left, it is not a place to go unless you are very patient and can only concentrate on the food he prepares. The last time we were there which was around 10/07 we left after staring at stale bread for 15 minutes without the wine we ordered. By the way, there was only one other table occupied with 4 patrons. Too Bad ...we really liked the food.

Major Disappointment. We went there on a Friday to celebrate with another couple and thought that we would try it out after all of the reviews. First, the place was dead. at 7:30 on a Friday with decent weather, we were shocked to see that there were only 4 other tables seated. Second, the staff was rude and seemed way to arrogant for an empty restaurant. They wouldnt even allow us to move away from the window when the ladies were cold, telling us 'the space heater is warm enough, it is only cold when the door opens'. Lucky for us nobody else showed up. Sadly, the food is really delicious. This is the perfect place for take out, because, although small portioned, each dish was mouthwatering. I wish I could say that we would suggest going here, but save your money and go somewhere (anywhere) else.

We have rare occasion to go out anymore. Kids, Life, Midlife. But the service, fantastic food, portions, presentation, atmosphere... it all worked to perfection. We will find a babysitter more often - if only to eat here again and again.
To begin - we ordered top shelf Martini's. They kindly offered to make on-the-spot bleu cheese olives (service!) and we also tried the mango version (lite and lovely).
We started our meal with an appetizer of mussels in a lovely lite tomato (excellent). Followed by pork loin with pomegranate BBQ sauce (mouthwatering). Also shared the tenderloin with sea scallops (tremendous...).
The dessert and coffee; lemon tarte with blueberry compote and espresso (a perfect end). Will want to return to try most everything.

Food was EXCELLENT. Best I've ever had (Trotters, Tru, sorry guys, David works magic!). One complaint though, and something they need to work-on because I've heard others mention it as well...the service was too rushed. Tried to enjoy a dining experience with friends, but the plates kept coming one after the next with no time to sit back and sip some wine and let the flavors soak-in. At times, we still had the previous dish with food on it and the next course was coming out already. At $200+ per couple tax/tip....we need better pacing.

We have eaten at Sweets and Savories many times (20 to 30) and have found the meals to be of top quality. We have never had a bad experience and the meals were great. We also have spoken with the staff and have found that chef David is demanding of his staff and the quality shows. We highly recommend the taster menu for dinner as its hard to choice just one thing. Keep up the good work truly a dining experiece.
