I think this is supposed to be a british style pub-bar and in many ways it is, like the 'football' scarves up on the wall and genuine brit drinkers at the bar. But the feeling of the place is not like the pubs I came across when I was visiting Britain. Still its a good place to stop by.

A bit dark in there but a friendly atmosphere. I liked the food - the quesadillas.

If you like the ex-pat crowd, you'll love it here. Unfortunately I found the regulars rude and foul-mouthed. I went back in March and my waitress (Megan) was clearly only interested in one thing: my husband! Apart from that, the breakfast was pretty good and a good beer selection.

Tucked away on Irving Park between the Brown line and Damen Ave. rests the Globe Pub. Upon peeking in, the dark, narrow bar hosts a slew of beer afficiandos, ready to take a drink of Bell's seasonal Oberon and throw a few darts. This pub is a must for any North Center dweller, where you can kick back, enjoy conversation, listen to the DJ spin all sorts of tunes, and overall, have a good time with friends.

We LOVE this bar! The music, staff, and food is GREAT! Try the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla's. They are to die for!
