In regards to my earlier post: I spoke with Kelly and it is no wonder that she is the Director of Customer service since she responded to me right away, was a pleasure to talk to and very understanding. She resolved the issues I had with the personal training program and I am again a happy Xsport customer. While I had a very negative experience with my personal trainer, I should not have implied that all trainers have unhealthy attitudes. I would recommend trying out your trainer, in addition to getting your doctors input on your weight/fitness goals before you start.
As I said before, Xsport in itself is a great gym and I love the facility and classes. I would absolutely recommend the membership in itself. Thank you to Kelly!

While I enjoy the gym itself, I strongly advise against the personal training. My experience is that the personal trainers are ill-informed and do not take your goals and expectations into consideration in their "plan for you". I am a skinny girl at 130 lbs with a 20% BMI. My trainer wanted me to lose 10 lbs and be at 16% BMI. My doctor has informed me how unhealthy these goals are. My trainer was also horrible at scheduling and I recieved very little value for my dollar. If you join they will try to sell you hard on PT, BUT DON'T BUY IT! Instead of a healthy exerience, it is demoralizing and unhealthy. I strongly recommend the classes though.
Kelly- I have seen you post here a number of times. Please call me as my complaints agaist the personal training program are numerous. I left you a message this afternoon.
Thank you, Ali

I have a quick question. Do I need to pay with a credit card or debit card? Because I don't really have neither of the two. And yes I already have heard of the other option which is that you pay $189 for 3 months and then you have to renew it every 3 months.

In response to my earlier posting, I got in touch with Kelly Cartwright this afternoon and she resolved my issue. I am truly amazed and satisfied with the outcome and the way I was treated by Kelly. I appreciate the way this was handled and although I was considering cancelling my membership, I will continue to go to Xsport as long as the personal trainers leave me alone.

Hi Kelly,
I spoke with a customer service representative but was far from satisfied. I got off the phone feeling that there was nothing I could do. I was told that my contract would not be cancelled and that I should try to use the personal training sessions because they could do a lot of good for me. I do not want them! I never wanted them in the first place! If this matter is not resolved I going to close my bank account so that no more payments can be charged to it. Also, I called you and left a message around 12:00 pm. I refuse to believe that no exception can be made, I was given unclear information as to when I needed to cancel my contract and I want my down payment back for services that I never received. I have tried calling twice today but you didn't answer. Please call me back.

I have a personal training contract that I did not want and Xsport will not cancel it. I was waiting to tan after my workout when I was approached by a trainer who told me I needed to gain 5-10 pounds of muscle and he would show me how to do it. I feel as though I was pressured by several personal trainers, including the manager, into buying a contract that was too expensive and that I DID NOT WANT. The people at Xsport are trained to sell sell sell, and it has crossed the line to become inappropriate. I am angered at the fact that I never once approached the personal training staff or showed interest in getting a personal trainer. I was minding my own business and feel that the way I was approached was extremely unprofessional. I am going to continue to fight this until I get my money back and my contract is cancelled. I also plan on cancelling my gym membership. I go there to work out and mind my own business and don't need to be bothered by people who just want to sell me something I don't need or want.

Well, it turns out when you do try contacting the Director of Customer Service, she is either never in the office, or hangs up on you during a phone call. Go figure.
