I have eaten at Las Palmas many times over the past couple of years. Their food is absolutely delicious! The best mexican food in the city. The wait staff is very friendly. I have never had problems getting a table. Oh yeah, did I mention that their margaritas are to die for!

I have eaten at Las Palmas several times. It has been my favorite Mexican restaurant for at least a year, and since we live five minutes away from it, we go there all the time. HOWEVER, tonight we decided to skip the crowd and order for pick up. We order enchiladas with fried plantains and santa clara mole. That's our usual, and every time I've had that dish in the past it has been 'delicious'. We also ordered quesadillas from the botanas menu. I was surprised when the host told me it would be 10 minutes before my order was ready. GREAT I thought and it 10 minutes we were there. Our food was COLD, like it was never even thrown in a microwave. The plantain which were supposed to be FRIED, were NOT COOKED in the least. The black beans were gray and flavorless.. it was awful awful awful. I wonder if this is how it is for pick up orders?? If it is, DO NOT ORDER FOR PICK UP THERE!

If you go to Las Palmas, expect to wait -- even if you have a reservation. We came in the other night and had a reservation for two at 8 PM. We didn't get seated until 9:15! By far the longest I've ever had to wait for a table...

I have eaten at Las Palmas two times and had excellent food and service! So, I made reservations for 6 people (some coming in from way out of town.) When we got there, they did not have a table for us and lied about the reservation. We had to walk to 3 more places before finding one that could seat us in under an hour. I will not go back to Las Palmas.
