I read a million reviews on this place and they all came up to be untrue. The employees were all cool, the music was refreshing, and it didn't feel clicky at all. I'll be going asap.

I went to the Sound-bar this past weekend, and had a blast. I did not find any of the staff to be rude like I had heard them to be. I plan to go back soon.

Well on Feb. 2nd there will be the biggest party yet to start the new year @ soundbar. Playmates, Maxim models, and a secret celebrity guest who knows it might be Kim Kardashian i'm just sayin, and so much more. Even you'll see your fave social bug at this event...So lets all go and have a crazzzy time @ soundbar.... can't wait...and free entry when you mention wannaparty.com at the door. Otherwise it's 20 bucks to get in. so don't forget mark it down in your calendars, blackberry's, or whatever you use to note that this event will be unforgettable...C Ya...Ciao~ T

I pre-paid over $80 to get into Sound-Bar on New Year's Eve. When I got there the power was out and they refused to let me in the club, even though it was freezing outside. After waiting half an hour in the cold, begging the doorman to let me in to warm up, he finally told me to just go home. I called the club to get a refund on my tickets but they wouldn't give me one. They ruined my New Year's, and it was my first time in Chicago. It was terrible customer service.

This club has two floors; one techno and the other hip hop. Its a great club with good music but its best to go after midnight. Thats when it really starts to go down.

Sound Bar is by far one of the worst places in Chicago. My friend made reservations for her birthday last weekend. Most of her guest could not get in due to the two forms of id required at the door this was not stated on her reservation confirmation. When we arrived we had to look for our host to get us a table. After a certain time we had to leave the table because we did not purchase a bottle. We ended up buying two bottles in addition we continued consuming from the bar since we had over 30 guests. The wait staff is rude and to top it off our host asked for a tip. This tip was for a waitress that we had but how funny that we never saw her once throughout the entire night.

My 1st experience @ the sound bar was great. I went to a friends Bday party and had a wonderful time. Because of the experience I had, I decided to have a bday party for my husband 2 weeks after my first visit. My party was having a great time until we were approached by one of the hosteses telling us that we had to move from where we were seated because we did not have 20 people in our party. The way that we were approached was unacceptable. They were rude and did not approach any other parties. Now I do not want to through out the race card but this is exactly how they made "us" feel. My party were all professionals and behaving as such and we were the only party that were made to move from our "reserved" area because we had less that 20 in attendance. There were other parties will fewer people.
Because of this experience, I will never step foot in the sound bar again and I will not recommend others.
