Real nice bar, with an excellent bartender staff. Sad to see Allison leave, but Eartha, and the rest of the ladies allways will make you feel welcome. Just stumbled into the bar about a year ago, and found my new hangout. Thanks Big John, great bar, and lots of intresting patrons. Good time, now DRINK, DRINK, DRINK!

the halloween party was great.John was a great host and pimp. The bartenders worked thier asses off. the costumes were clever. joe mama loved little red riding hood. janet got trashed. ps love the guillotine.

Hey Jake.... Can't say that I've ever met "BIG JOHN" or have visited Club Belmont, but I can say this, he has been very helpful to someone I knew very well, that needed help and John stepped up and helped when not may others would or could. So good luck with everything John! Bottom Line...

Big John is one of the greatest guys I know. He definitely knows how to show his customers a good time. He treats everyone like he's known them forever. He's automatically #1 in my book. The bar itself have some of the greatest bartenders in town. Edith, Maria, Anna, Joanne, Eartha...etc. The atmosphere is really comfortable not to mention the people that hang there are riots!

John Kola, owner of the Club Belmont is one of the most decent guys I've ever known. He offered to hold a 2-day book signing for me, sight unseen! No kidding. He felt my book, "A Chicago Firehouse: Stories of Wrigleyville's Engine 78" (www.achicagofirehouse.com) would appeal to a number of his firefighter patrons. They came through for me and I am eternally grateful. I felt very welcome and appreciated for my work. John is a great guy and the bar has a very comfortable atmosphere!
